The Parliamentary Committee on legal policy and state building recommended several draft bills for consideration to Azerbaijan's Parliament.

After its November-16 meeting, the members of the committee agreed on amendments proposed to the several laws.

One of the suggestions was reduction of working hours for single parents with children under 3.

This was reflected in the draft law "On reduced working schedule for certain categories of public servants."

The Agrarian Policy Committee also discussed draft laws such as "On family farm", "On horse-breeding" and "On Hydrometeorology activity" on November 16.

Under the draft law, controversial issues related to the investigation of environmental pollution will be addressed now administratively.

"On family farm" draft law, the parliamentarians suggested annual turnover of family farms to be changed on the basis of a proposal by the relevant executive authority.

Also, during the meeting MP Gudrat Hasanguliyev proposed to increase salaries of police officers.

"Now the salary of police officers is between 420-480 manats. However, after the devaluation this salary cannot ensure proper living standard for the police," he said.

Another proposed amendment was related to the Law "On Tourism". According to the changes foreigners, who are willing to visit Azerbaijan, will be able to get visas online, by "ASAN Visa" system.

Visas will be issued through a single online portal within three days without applying to the state organizations. Foreign citizens, tourists can use the services of the ASAN Viza portal to arrive in Azerbaijan.
