Saudi King congratulates President Aliyev
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King of Saudi Arabia Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud congratulated Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on October 17 on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the restoration of the state independence of the Azerbaijan.
The letter reads:
“His Excellency Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan
As salamu aleykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
On the occasion of your country’s State Independence Day, on behalf of the people and government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and on my own behalf, I extend my most sincere congratulations to Your Excellency.
I wish you robust health and happiness, and the friendly people and government of the Republic of Azerbaijan progress and prosperity.
Please accept the assurances of my highest consideration.”
Azerbaijanis celebrate October 18 as a glorious day in their history, their Independence Day. 25 years ago, the people of Azerbaijan raised the banner of independence for the second time and this became a brilliant victory in the political history of the nation in the 20th century.
