The ruling coalition in Germany stands for Berlin to promote peace in the Nagorno-Karabakh region diplomatically, Trend reports citing DW.
"Germany must actively participate in the peaceful settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and promote the establishment of peaceful and equal relations between the residents of this region," the ruling Grand Coalition said in a statement, supported by the majority of the Bundestag members on November 26.
Following over a month of military action to liberate its territories from Armenian occupation, Azerbaijan has pushed Armenia to sign the surrender document. A joint statement on the matter was made by the Azerbaijani president, Armenia's PM, and the president of Russia.
A complete ceasefire and a cessation of all hostilities in the zone of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is introduced at 00:00 hours (Moscow time) on 10 November 2020.
