The F1 season consists of a series of races known as Grands Prix held throughout the world on purpose-built circuits and public roads. The results of each race are evaluated by using a points-system to determine the two annual World Championships, one for the drivers and the other one for the constructors.
The fabulous atmosphere in Baku will provide the perfect backdrop for the 8th round of the 2016 FIA Formula One World Championship during the race weekend of June 17-19, 2016 and will provide spectators with a truly unique live sporting experience.
Azerbaijan is the 32nd country hosting the official Grand Prix and Sly Sports survey puts Baku City Circuit among the leaders in “Formula 1's best 'new' track” voting. The famous British channel has placed the Baku Grand Prix 6th in the voting.
