The contest will take place with the contribution of artists from 24 countries this year.

Azerbaijan will be represented by Elvin Ordubadlı, the winner of the country’s contest “Voice of Azerbaijan”.

The TURKVISION Song Contest was launched by TMB TV which has been carrying out projects to strengthen ties among Turkic peoples through various cultural and artistic projects since its establishment.

It has become the symbol of peace, brotherhood and friendship among Turkic peoples.

Being a unique project the contest is aimed at preserving and strengthening ties of friendship among Turkic peoples by introducing their common music, culture, language, art and traditions to the world.

Last year, Azerbaijani singer Farid Hasanov won the first contest of the Turkic states that was inspired by the Eurovision Song Contest.

Young but talented Farid Hasanov won the contest's finale with 210 points after heartily performing the song "Yasha" (Live), composed by GovharHasanzade, leaving behind 11 less successful singers.
