The Nizami Ganjavi International Center will publish a study of Nizami Ganjavi's poems, including Khamsa, in different languages along with the world's most renowned researchers of the heritage of the great Azerbaijani poet.

The project will be implemented upon initiative and under the auspices of Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Library of Alexandria, Co-Chair of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center.

The publishing is aimed to promote Nizami Ganjavi and values underlying his works all over the world. The examination of archives has already started in India, the U.S., the Arab Republic of Egypt, the UK and France.

Nizami's literary heritage will be catalogued with the support of the Library of Alexandria.

Nizami Ganjavi International Center with its head office in Azerbaijan's second largest city, Ganja, was established in September 2012 to increase awareness of the great works of Nizami Ganjavi, help return his masterpieces to the homeland, serve as a depository for Nizami's works, and further develop the values embodied in his works through community engagement.

Nizami Ganjavi, the 12th century greatest representative of the Eastern Renaissance, displayed the quintessence of world literature and philosophy in his immortal works via the aesthetic power of his art.

Ganjavi started his creative endeavors with lyric poems. Nizami's lyric works stand out for high professionalism, secular attitude to love and humanist thoughts about a man's destiny.

However, Nizami entered world literature with ''Khamsa'', a pentalogue of five poems -- ''Treasury of Mysteries'', ''Khosrov and Shirin'', ''Leili and Mejnun'', ''Seven Beauties'' and ''Iskander-nameh'' written in the masnavi poetic form.

The description of a man's inner world, his feelings, and thoughts along with the dynamic development of the main hero's characters underlies the basic aim and content of the Nizami literary school.

Nizami's poems played a great role in the enrichment of the love theme, which is widespread in Oriental literature, with social, universal ideals and humane content.
