Shakira presents grand show in Baku, says her baby sings along
World-famous pop star Shakira on Sunday presented a grand show at Baku's Crystal Hall, which hosted the Eurovision 2012 song contest in May.
Before Shakira appeared on stage, Grammy Award-winning Canadian R&B and soul singer Melanie Fiona presented her hits such as Change The Records, The MF Life and Fool For You, which are leading the U.S. charts this year.
Finally, Shakira, who is in her sixth month of pregnancy, performed an hour-long program. Interestingly, the Colombian star had canceled all her other performances, but did not turn down the offer to perform in the Azerbaijani capital.
Because of her pregnancy Shakira had to give up a lot of dancing moves. But the singer moved around all the time and drank water frequently. During the show, Shakira several times intriguingly put a hand on her round belly, sparking an explosive reaction amidst the crowd of cheering fans. On one occasion she said: "Me and my baby have come on stage together for the first time. We feel well and I feel like my baby is singing and dancing with me."
Shakira and her dance group presented a unique mix of English-language and Latin American songs, which included such hits as "Loca", "Whenever, Wherever", "She Wolf", "Hips Don't Lie", "Underneath Your Clothes" , "La Tortura", "Don't Bother", etc.
Shakira performed with a Colombian flag on the stage.
At the end of the concert, Shakira performed Waka Waka (This Time For Africa) and blew a kiss to the audience saying: "I love you, Baku!".
On Saturday, Shakira performed at the closing ceremony of the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup.
