Pierre Cardin to visit Azerbaijan this year – report
MOSCOW – World-famous fashion designer Pierre Cardin is due to visit Azerbaijan this year, Russia’s state news agency Itar-Tass reported.
Besides Azerbaijan, Cardin plans visits to Russia, Brazil, Greece and China in 2011.
The Italian-born French fashion designer’s visit to Russia has been scheduled. On June 7 Moscow will host the Day of Pierre Cardin, to be followed by similar events in Kaluga on June 8-10.
Cardin last visited Baku in November 2008 to attend the birthday celebrations of prominent Azerbaijani artist Tahir Salahov, his long-time friend.
Cardin has set communication with people as his life credo. Cardin, a UNESCO goodwill ambassador, pays a number of visits to countries around the world every year.
