Azerbaijan Airlines, AZAL, announced about reducing the prices for low-cost routes.

Starting January 5, passengers will have a chance to fly to Moscow, Dubai, Istanbul and Antalya for 89 euros. Earlier the cost of tickets for these routes was 99 euros.

Those, who choose the low-cost directions, need pay for each piece of luggage no more than 23 kg, while hand luggage no more than 8 kg in the size of 55x35x20 cm is free.

Moreover, from this date, all international destinations, including these low-budgets, will be carried out from the new passenger terminal -- the first terminal of the Heydar Aliyev International Airport.

AZAL is still considering the possibility of reducing prices for flights in connection with the devaluation of Azerbaijan’s manat. Recently, the company has announced about the consideration of prices for flights to cities such as Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Mineralniye Vodi, Istanbul, Ankara, Antalia, Tel Aviv, Tehran, Dubai, Aktau, Kiyev, Lvov, Minsk, Tbilisi and etc.

“List of budget tariffs will be further expanded,” said AZAL’s Vice-President Eldar Hajiyev. “Recently AZAL has introduced new Promo tariff for Baku-Moscow flight with the arrival at Russia’s Domodedovo airport, without luggage. Moreover, the company plans to open the new budget flight to the resort town of Alanya next summer. Azerbaijan Airlines will continue developing the line of low-cost tariffs in many areas next year."

Azerbaijan Airlines is a major air carrier and one of the leaders of the aviation community of the CIS countries, with the newest airplane fleets, consisting of 25 airplanes. The airline flies to 40 destinations in 19 countries and transported more than 1.8 million passengers in 2014.
