The five-volume "Great Economic Encyclopedia" has been presented in Azerbaijan's capital Baku. The author and the editor-in-chief is the chairman of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) Committee on Economic Policy, academician Ziyad Samadzade.

The acting president of the National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), academician Akif Alizade said encyclopedia is historical memory, the collection of scientific knowledge and expression of national consciousness and thinking.

It was stressed that the "Great Economic Encyclopedia" is a source of information and knowledge about the history of the world economy, the meaning of terms used in the present in various areas of economic life, the activities of prominent economists. The encyclopedia provides a detailed interpretation of theories and views and with great professionalism discloses the nature and significance of economic phenomena.

It was noted that the five-volume Encyclopedia, covering about 10,000 terms of economic concepts and articles provides readers with the necessary knowledge of economic phenomena, categories, models.

It was emphasized that the Encyclopedia provides a clear picture of the pattern of economic development of Azerbaijan, established by national leader Heydar Aliyev and implemented by flexible pragmatism of President Ilham Aliyev.

Academician Ziyad Samadzade provided extensive information about the "Great Economic Encyclopedia".

The presentation ceremony was attended by representatives of government agencies, international and local organizations, the scientific community, the diplomatic corps, and MPs.
