Azerbaijan ready to welcome three million tourists a year
Suitable conditions are in place for around three million tourists a year to be welcomed in Azerbaijan over the next five years, the head of Azerbaijani Tourism Association Nakhid Bagirov told Trend news agency.
Around two million visitors have arrived in Azerbaijan since the beginning of 2012.
Bagirov said interest in Azerbaijan is growing mostly among its neighbors and post-Soviet countries overall.
More than 500 hotels are operating in the country with the construction of 40 more in progress, he said.
