Azerbaijan to raise share of renewable energy
The Azerbaijani state agency in charge of alternative energy intends to bring the proportion of alternative energy sources in the total energy mix to 20 percent by 2020, its head has said.
Akim Badalov said today’s share of alternative sources in the country, given the use of small hydropower stations, is 10 percent.
Badalov said the Industry and Energy Ministry’s State Agency for Alternative and Renewable Energy pays great attention to studying the experience of countries which have already achieved success in applying these technologies.
