Azeri tycoon Ismailov’s popular restaurant in Moscow closes

MOSCOW – A restaurant downtown Moscow owned by Azerbaijani tycoon Telman Ismailov, popular since the Soviet times, has been shut down.
The Praga (Prague) restaurant, which was frequented by elite customers, was no longer profitable for the owner, Russian media reported.
Well-known Italian designer Roberto Cavalli plans to buy the building hosting the restaurant located on the Stariy Arbat Street from Ismailov. Cavalli intends to open another restaurant called Just Cavalli there this summer.
Praga was a canteen favored by waggonners about a century ago. A merchant named Tararkin bought the property and decided to turn it into a restaurant.
