New plan to improve transport in Baku
BAKU – A strategic plan aiming to modernize the transportation system of Baku has been developed in cooperation with foreign experts.
Deputy Transport Minister Musa Panahov said 240,000 vehicles have been delivered to Azerbaijan in the past three years, with most of them used in the capital, which necessitates regulating public transport.
The plan has been prepared under a project being implemented according to a grant agreement signed by Azerbaijan and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The $1 million grant was allocated in 2008.
