Italians amazed by Baku 2015 opening ceremony
Italy’s ambassador to Baku, Giampaolo Cutillo wasn't the only
one enjoying the opening ceremony of the Baku 2015 European Games,
as his family enjoyed it as well.
Ambassador's spouse, Elisabetta Cutillo, said that the opening
ceremony of the First European Games in Baku was an elegant show
and an incredible experience for many.
“There are many moments that I liked. I liked music, beautiful
carpets, Gobustan graffiti,” she told Trend, adding that everything
was very romantic. “Every single part of this show was
amazing.”
“I was really surprised about the modernity of the technology,” she
said, adding that Azerbaijan is a very beautiful country.
“As an Italian, I have to be really grateful to all of you, because
I know how you love us. Wherever I go, when I say that I am from
Italy, people are so welcoming. I love Azerbaijan.”
Furthermore, Cutillo said she loves Azerbaijani cuisine. “I love
qutab, rice plov, I love your cheese and lula kebab.”
The ambassador’s spouse added that Italians and Azerbaijanis have
many things in common.
“The common things between Azerbaijan and Italy: the sense of
humor, the sense of history, the common value about family,
friendship,” she said. “We share love for music, we are both
emotional people.”
