Azerbaijani gymnasts who won bronze medals awarded
The awarding ceremony of the Azerbaijani team in artistic gymnastics, who won the bronze medal in the competitions within the framework of the first European Games, took place on June 15.
Azerbaijani team, which includes Oleg Stepko, Eldar Safarov and Petro Pahnyuk, scored 174.195 points.
The Russian team showed the best result (178.963 points), the Ukrainian team took the second place (177.429 points).
In total, teams from 26 countries participated in the finals.
The European Games that kicked off in Baku June 12, will last till June 28.
There is a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports. More than 6,000 athletes from across Europe will be representing their nations over 17 days of competition.
Baku was awarded the games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012.
