President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev announced the results of the state activity in the industrial and manufacturing sectors within the framework of the national teleconference on December 6, Kazinform reported.

“If we think about the construction industry, we stopped importing the products for basic building materials. It is very important. Over 180 projects have been implemented. Thanks to industrialization, the share of the manufacturing sector increased from 30 to 41 percent. This is a good achievement,” the head of state said.

In total, over the years, industrialization has attracted $26 billion of foreign direct investment, he noted.

“If there would be no program - there would be no introduction of such money. In the total volume of exports, the share of processed goods increased up to 35 percent. This is a huge achievement for our country. It is necessary to increase it. Within the framework of the state program of industrial innovative development, all enterprises, which stood all these years, have produced goods worth 9.5 trillion tenge. And 5.2 trillion was spent. That is, we return a hundredfold money invested in that object, and not just spend it,” Nazarbayev said.

At the same time, as new technological advanced facilities are introduced, energy use has decreased by 16 percent, the Kazakh leader said, adding that this is also a great achievement.

Today, a nationwide teleconference with the participation of the Kazakh president was launched. TV broadcasting is provided by 25 mobile television stations, the "KazSat" satellite and national communication operators. As many as 25 industrial facilities are on-line in real time. More than 10,000 employees of enterprises are waiting for the meeting with the head of state. It is expected that new industrial-innovative, infrastructure, energy, agro-industrial projects will be launched in the online mode across the country.
