Turkey’s low-cost airline Pegasus, which will carry out flights from Istanbul to Gabala starting March 18, is expected to launch a shuttle bus service from Baku to the Gabala airport.

The buses will depart from the "28 May" and "20 January" metro stations, a travel agency told Trend.

“Services will be operated by Mercedes Benz 403 busses three times a week. The buses will depart from Baku on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays: at 21:30 from “28 May” station and at 22:00 from “20 January” metro station. The buses will arrive at the Gabala airport at 02:30. In the opposite direction, the bus will leave at 04:30 on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays,” the travel agency reported.

During the travel, the passengers will be provided with cold and hot drinks, as well as free Wi-Fi. On the way 15-minute stop is supposed.

“The ticket price for the bus when buying at travel agencies will cost 15 manat ($9) at one way and 19 manat ($11) -- both ways. A single ticket can also be purchased online for 19 manat,” the travel agency said.

In August 2015, Azerbaijan Airlines reported that the Turkish low-cost received permission from the Azerbaijani side on the implementation of flights to the country.

Flights will be carried out from the Turkish Sabiha Gokcen Airport to the Gabala airport three times a week including Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, according to the February report of airportist. The ticket price at one way will cost 49.99 euro.

The regular flights between two countries are approved by intergovernmental agreements and the relevant agreement between the civil aviation authorities of Azerbaijan and Turkey was signed in November 2014, and its terms and conditions are currently met by both sides.

Azerbaijan Airlines, a major air carrier and one of the leaders of the aviation community of CIS closely cooperates with “Turkish Airlines”, which operates flights to Baku, Ganja and Nakhchivan.
