Number of marriages ups in Azerbaijan

Some 11,300 marriages and 1,900 divorces were registered in Azerbaijan in January-February, 2014, the State Statistics Committee reported.
The number of marriages per 1.000 people increased from 6.9 to 7.5 compared to the same period of 2013. The number of divorces remained unchanged at 1.3.
The number of marriages increased by 10.3 percent in 2013 compared with the figure in 2012, and reached 86 594.
The number of divorced also increased and hit 11, 849. The figure was 11,182 in 2012.
