The proposals of some 25 start-up projects have already been submitted to Business Incubation Center of the High-Tech Park, Deputy General Director of the park Jabbar Musayev said on September 9.

All submitted projects will be supported at the state level.

Today the number of candidates seeking to present their projects in the center has reached 70, he added.

Business Incubation Center with a total area of about 2,000 square meters and the central office of the park was officially inaugurated in December 2013.

Aspiring entrepreneurs presented to the center will pay rent for most favorable terms.

All necessary conditions are created for improvement of ideas and projects of innovation orientation.

To ensure the effectiveness of the works, the authors of the start-up projects are exempt from utility payments and provided with all the necessary conditions, including office, computers and Internet access.

Only promising projects can hope to be developed in the center. Once the project reaches the desired stage of development, the next step will be shifting them to the High-Tech Park.

The High-Tech Park will be constructed in the Pirallahi district of Baku at the 50 hectares area.

The Park has passed the state registration and is looking for foreign investors and companies.

The beginning of the Park's activities will ensure the creation of modern complexes for research, and the development of new information technologies. The Park will also play an important role in the sustainable development of economy and competitiveness in the country.

The new facility will be an area with the necessary infrastructure, logistics and governing entities for conducting research in ICT, telecommunications and space use, energy efficiency, and the development of new and high technologies.

Residents and companies operating in the park will be exempt from the 18 percent VAT on imported infrastructural and technological goods and services. The park participants will also be exempt from tax and customs duty for seven years.
