Georgian PM refuses to attend National Security Council meeting

Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili is not going to take part in the Tuesday meeting of the National Security Council (NSC).
Ivanishvili told journalists that he does not see the need for their participation in the NSC meeting.
According to him, the announced agenda does not contain issues topical for today.
The prime minister said that he will take part in a meeting of the National Security Service only if it will address important issues for the country.
Today's meeting will be attended by the ministers of internal affairs, defence and foreign affairs who 'will have a lot of questions' directed to President, Ivanishvili added.
The Administration of the President of Georgia told Trend, the National Security Council will meet in connection with the attack on the Georgian contingent in Afghanistan, video threats against Georgian troops and the population and associated security issues.
Seven Georgian servicemen were killed and nine wounded on June 6 as a result of an attack at the military base of Georgian troops in Afghanistan's Helmand province.
The attack was preceded by a video message on Youtube with threats to Georgian soldiers, their families and the president of Georgia posted on the same day.
The meeting of the National Security Council will be held at the Presidential Palace at 18.00 on Tuesday.
