On May 17, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the United Arab Emirates, AzerNEWS reports.

The Minister first conveyed the greetings of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to the Azerbaijani leader.

President Ilham Aliyev expressed his gratitude for the greetings and requested that his own regards be conveyed to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Suhail Al Mazrouei extended his congratulations on the occasion of Baku hosting the 13th session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13), noting that the event provides an excellent platform for discussing critical issues on the global urban planning agenda.

During the conversation, the sides hailed the expansion of bilateral relations based on strategic partnership, emphasizing the development of cooperation across various sectors, including the political, economic, energy, and specifically renewable energy fields.
