A delegation comprising representatives of the group of the companies of Kazakh Sovereign Wealth Fund Samruk-Kazyna met with business circles of the United Kingdom (UK) in London.

During the working trip, the Kazakh delegation headed by Samruk-Kazyna CEO Umirzak Shukeyev met with the British delegation headed by UK Prime Minister's Special Envoy on Trade issues Charles Hendry.

The sides discussed the cooperation within the projects in the field of financial and legal services, energy and mining, ecology, green economy, infrastructure, education and training of highly qualified specialists.

The Kazakh side expressed interest in a project on production of low-carbon hybrid fuel buses, in turn the British entrepreneurs show interest in the projects related to preparation for EXPO-2017, in particular, construction of the Green Block ecological village in Astana.

"We intend to carefully consider all of the proposed projects in order to reach specific agreements during the Kazakhstan visit of British Prime Minister. We fully support investors willing to invest in technology transfer and creation of new jobs. We have specific tools for that, such as co-investment, guarantees, long-term contracts, etc.," Shukeyev said.

Hendry, in turn, said that this meeting aims to move the business dialogue between Kazakhstan and U.K. to a new stage.

According to him, both sides have big ambitions and interest in the cooperation.

"You wisely want to develop new areas and business directions and our companies are ready to offer their technologies and experience," Hendry said.

The delegation of Samruk-Kazyna also visited the "oil capital" of U.K. - Scottish city of Aberdeen, which is a hub for the development of oil fields in the North Sea, located at a distance of several hundreds of kilometers from the coast.

The delegation familiarized with Aberdeen's experience in order to use it in the construction of a similar energy hub in Aktau. In addition, meetings were held with leaders of the City Hall, as well as the major oil service companies on their participation in the construction and operation of the Kazakh hub.
