President Aliyev receives credentials of incoming ambassadors

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev accepted credentials of New
Zealand's new ambassador Taha MacPherson on November 23.
The diplomat passed along a ceremonial guard of honor.
President Aliyev had a conversation with the ambassador.
The Head of State said there was great potential for development of
relations between Azerbaijan and New Zealand on various fronts,
including in the field of economy.
The president stressed the importance of exploring opportunities
for cooperation and further strengthening partnership between the
two countries.
MacPherson congratulated the Head of State on his re-election as
the president.
The ambassador said he would try his best to contribute to
boosting the Azerbaijan-New Zealand relations.
On the same day, the Azerbaijani president also accepted
credentials of incoming Japanese Ambassador Tsuguo Takahashi.
The Head of State noted that bilateral relations between Azerbaijan
and Japan had been developing successfully on various fronts.
President Aliyev expressed hope that cooperation between the two
countries would be developed rapidly during Takahashi`s tenure.
The diplomat said the last year saw the celebration of the 20th
anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between
Azerbaijan and Japan.
Takahashi noted the relations between the two countries had been developing rapidly in various directions, including political, economic, and humanitarian fields.
Takahashi praised ongoing rapid development processes in Azerbaijan.
