An Azerbaijani who lives in neighboring Georgia was entered into the Guinness World Records book for 2014.

Etibar Elchiyev Budagli is called "magnetic man" thanks to his phenomenal ability. The Book notes that Elchiyev took the fifth place in the rankings and became the first Azerbaijani who accomplished that.

The "magnetic man" has been declared "Record holder of the year" in Georgia. He set a world record in Italy, Germany and China where he was awarded with medals and certificates.

Elchiyev said that he has set four world records and is doing everything in his power to get the fifth one.

"I'm preparing for another competition. This time I'm going to raise 150 kg with my body."

Elchiyev's body has bioenergy with which he treats patients.

Guinness World Records is complied during the year and published with the onset of the new year.

There are several interesting records about Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijanis in the book, which was previously known as Guinness Book of Records.

Fakhraddin Veliyev, born in Jabrayil region and currently living in Belgium, is the first Azerbaijani whose name was entered into the Book in 2004. He achieved this honor after drawing the silhouettes of 20 people just for 5 minutes.

Resident of Ashagi Nuvadi village of the southern Lankaran region, 7-year-old Alasgar Hasanzade is the youngest winner whose name was included in the Book. He could lower and lift his body by resting upon his fingers without touching the floor with his breast 3,000 times during 1 hour and 45 minutes.

The Guinness world records organization confirmed on May 29, 2010 that the pole of the Azerbaijani state flag is the highest in the world. The flag's width is 35 meters, its length is 70 m, and the total area is 2,450 square meters, with the weight of about 350 kilograms.

Hussein Rezazada from South Azerbaijan (northern Iran) was entered into the Guinness book as the planet's strongest wrestler, lifting 263 kilograms of weight on his head, and renewed his record with 263.5 kg in 2004.
