Dilara shines at first rehearsal in Copenhagen

By Nigar Orujova
Azerbaijan's Eurovision Song Contest 2014 entry presented an amazing performance in her first rehearsal, eurovision.tv reports.
Accompanied on stage by an aerial artist Dilara Kazimova surprised the audience again with her strong voice.
The singer has worked with an aerial artist and three backing vocalists in the background.
The female aerial artist was performing on an 8-meter-high acrobatic trapeze.
The Eurovision entries have not worked with aerial acts before, and it was a challenge for the creative Azerbaijani team to find the perfect solutions for cameras and rigging.
The roofs of skyscrapers, frescos, and crystals have been displayed on LEDs, changing their colors from dark blue to red.
Head of Press Konstantin Hudov said Dilara's performance is staged by Swedish director and dancer Asa Engman in cooperation with Polish-Japanese choreographer Piotr Torazawa Giro.
Under the stage director's idea, the aerial artist stands for an imaginary "point of view" from which you can find a new meaning in ordinary life scenes or, in another way, represent "the spiritual concept of a soul."
Dilara, who just finished her European promo tour, is rehearsing in Copenhagen, Denmark, where she will start a fire on May 6 directly after Malta.
"I enjoyed my promotional tour very much. Malta was the last country with lovely people and great weather!" she said.
In Copenhagen, Dilara has already managed to make friends with the Russian participants, the Tolmachevy sisters.
Dilara's strong and exciting voice will compete in the first semifinal of the ESC. Leading bookmakers consider her among the top five contenders.
An established artist who is quite popular in Azerbaijan, Dilara is about to attract a wider European audience. Dilara's operatic training gives her impressive vocal diversity and permits a repertoire that ranges from soul to opera, jazz, and pop.
The singer has already participated twice in the national selection of Eurovision, reaching the final stage in 2008 and 2010. She is also the prizewinner of the "New Wave 2010" contest in Yurmala, Latvia.
