Kiev, Ashgabat mull direct flight restoration
A possibility of resuming the Ashgabat-Kiev-Ashgabat flights was considered during the Turkmen-Ukrainian intergovernmental negotiations in Kiev, the Turkmen government reported on April 1.
During the talks, the sides discussed issues related to President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko’s upcoming visit to Ashgabat in the first half of 2015.
Moreover, the Turkmen-Ukrainian political consultations were held in Kiev.
The sides discussed issues of further development of the interstate cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral formats, as well as part of major international organizations, including the UN.
The sides agreed to hold another meeting of the intergovernmental Turkmen-Ukrainian Commission in May 2015.
An opportunity of establishing the Turkmen-Ukrainian Scientific and Technical Council was considered.
The trade-economic and transport-communication areas, construction and agriculture are among the promising areas of cooperation.
