Kazakhstan is ready to take measures to simplify the visa system for foreigners so that they were able to attend the EXPO-2017 exhibition in Astana, Kazakh First Deputy Foreign Minister Rapil Zhoshybayev said.
"We are preparing documents for a visa free system for 10 world countries," Zhoshybayev said on March 14. "Then, we will choose 40 countries for summer visa free rules. Our partners from Europe will be among them."
He said that the Kazakh foreign ministry is considering the issue of allowing group visas now.
"We believe that EXPO will be the engine for promoting the tourist industry of the country," he said. "We are also working with China."
He said currently a large document is being prepared. "It will be signed by the International Exhibition Bureau and Kazakh state bodies."
"Afterwards, we will be able to invite countries to participate at EXPO," he said. "I think our greatest task is to involve in the exhibition the greatest number of countries and people."
Kazakhstan's official registration as the host country for the EXPO- 2017 international exhibition will be held in June 2014.
