SOCAR: Suspending Shah Deniz well has no impact on gas exports

Suspending a well on the Azerbaijani Shah Deniz offshore gas field has no impact on exports, SOCAR VP Khoshbakht Yusifzadeh told journalists.
He said there are four wells operating in the field, and one well was suspended due to technical problems, and now the company BP, which is the technical operator of the field, is working to commission it, Trend news agency reported.
"Daily production from Shah Deniz field was roughly 27-28 million cubic meters of gas while five wells were operating on the field, but now the figure is 23 million cubic meters," Yusifzade said. 'The only negative factor is that decommissioning the well resulted in the gas extraction from underground storage facilities of the country,"
