Youth House opens in Baku
The opening ceremony of the Youth House, the new office of the National Assembly of Youth Organizations of Azerbaijan (NAYORA), was held on Wednesday.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Head of Azerbaijani Presidential Administration's Social and Political Department Ali Hasanov said that the National Assembly unites 104 organisations.
"We hope, the assembly will expand in the near future and all youth organizations in the country will associate in this organization," Hasanov said.
He added that NAYORA represents Azerbaijani youth and must unite the best representatives regardless of their political, economic and social positions.
The Youth House will become a centre where young people can learn, get information and come up with new initiatives, Hasanov said, adding that Azerbaijani youth will respond to the state care with their activities.
In turn, Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Intigam Babaev said that the "Azerbaijani Youth in 2011-2015" State Program envisages opening of Youth Houses in different regions.
"Azerbaijan needs to create such resource centres and this process will continue. They will contribute to the development of young people," he said.
The Youth House is designed to enhance the activities of youth organisations operating in this direction, support their initiatives through provided opportunities and improve the level of knowledge and development of skills, Chairman of the National Assembly, Shahin Seidzade said.
