Azerbaijani President elected Chairman of CEIBC
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has been elected chairman of the Caspian-European Integration Business Club (CEIBC), AzerTac state news agency reported.
Former chairman of the Club Telman Aliyev informed about it at a meeting of Azerbaijani Minister of Industry and Energy Natig Aliyev with the CEIBC member-companies.
Telman Aliyev noted that the chairman of the club should be a person influential in the international arena, region and mainly in Azerbaijan and support the solution of problems of companies and businessmen.
Telman Aliyev thanked President Ilham Aliyev for accepting the proposal.
"From now on, he is the Chairman of our club," he said.
T. Aliyev also noted that the changes were performed in April in order to bring the activities of CEIBC in line with international standards of corporate governance.
