PACE co-rapporteurs to submit report on Azerbaijan in mid-December
Co-rapporteurs of PACE Monitoring Committee Pedro Agramunt and Joseph Debono Grech will submit a final version of the report on their visits to Azerbaijan and a draft resolution on December 12, PACE said on Thursday, Trend news agency reported.
If the report and the draft resolution are adopted, the documents will be discussed at the winter session of the PACE to be held in January 2013.
"The co-rapporteurs expressed concerns over amendments to the Criminal Code and the Code of Administrative Offences," the statement said.
In the frame of the visit to Azerbaijan the co-rapporteurs met with the President, the Speaker of the Parliament, the Foreign Minister, the Minister of Interior, the Minister of Justice, the head of the Supreme Court, Prosecutor General and leaders of political parties represented in Parliament as well as with representatives of civil society, the report said.
