A world championship on an intellectual game "Khamsa" will be held in Baku on December 6-7.

The event is organized by Azerbaijan's Youth and Sports Ministry and Youth' Intellectual Development Center.

About 16 teams representing Latvia, Germany, Israel, Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Georgia, Moldavia, Estonia, and Azerbaijan will participate at the world cup, which will be held in Kempinski Hotel Badamdar.

Khamsa is based on the number "five", so each team consists of five players one of whom is the team's captain. The entire game consists of 5 rounds. 5 themes are played out in the first three rounds, with 5 questions asked on each theme. Four teams - the "yellow", "red", "blue" and "green" one- usually take part in the game.

Faig Huseynov, author and producer of the Khamsa television project says along with the traditional intellectual games "What? Where? When?", "Brain Ring", and "Jeopardy!", Khamsa is the main type of the intellectual programs at different tournaments.

Khamsa, which has become a national intellectual game, has attracted the attention of people of all ages and interests, because this game is accessible to all people who want to gain more knowledge and are not afraid to demonstrate their intelligence.
