Short Film Festival starts in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan launched "Young Azerbaijan" (Genc Azərbaycan) short films festival, the project organizers reported November 13. The project is supported by the Azerbaijan Youth Foundation under the President.

The festival participants should submit works reflecting Azerbaijan's 22 years of independence.

Timing of the films should be between 5-10 minutes. The submitted work should be of high quality and accompanied by sound effects.

A professional jury will evaluate the best film ideas and the best films selected will be presented at the festival.

Young people intending to participate in the festival can learn more about the terms of the project, by calling (051) 430-67-73, or by sending questions to [email protected] until the end of November.

The work to be presented to the festival can be either individual or team work. The deadline for submission of works is December 15, 2013.

The festival participants will be awarded prizes, diplomas and certificates.

The actual festival is scheduled for early January. "Youth Contribution" Public Union will be an organizing partner of festival.
