Opera star Yusif Eyvazov and People’s Artist of Azerbaijan, famous pianist Murad Adigozalzade have brilliantly performed at Hamburg's Elbe Philharmonic Hall.
Eminent musicians charmed and captivated the audience. The opera singer and piano virtuoso wowed listeners with wonderful music.
The young violin virtuoso, 14-year-old Kurt Mitterfellner and the soloist of the Abay State Opera and Ballet Theater of Kazakhstan, young baritone Emil Sakavov also took part in the event.
The marvelous concert featured the works of the Russian composers, Neapolitan and Italian songs and arias.
Magnificent performance of two romances of Gara Garayev on the verses of A.S. Pushkin - "I loved you once" and "On the hills of Georgia", written by a 19-year-old composer in the year of the 100th anniversary of the poet's death, were greeted with a storm of applause.
Yusif Eyvazov is a Grand Prix winner of international competitions, whose name is included in the "The Best Tenors of the World" book. He made a series of important debuts. The opera singer starred as Canio in LA Opera's production of Pagliacci conducted by Placido Domingo, made his first appearances at the Metropolitan Opera and the Vienna State Opera singing Calaf in Turandot, and debuted at both the Paris Opera and the Staatsoper Berlin as Manrico in Il Trovatore.
Eyvazov performed at the Mariinsky Theater in the title role of Otello with Valery Gergiev. He made his Salzburg Festival debut as Des Grieux in Manon Lescaut. He appeared on the concert stage in Parma under the baton of Marco Boemi with a program featuring works by Verdi and Puccini, in concert with Riccardo Muti.
Murad Adigozalzade began his serious music studies at the Baku Academy of Music. After graduating, he was awarded the first prize in the National Pianists' Competition, winning the titles of "Best Pianist of the Year" and "Best Musician of the Year".
Since 2004, Adigozalzade has been a soloist of the Moscow State Academic Philharmonic. In 2005 he was awarded Honored Artist of Azerbaijan, and in 2007 received the Presidential award. Since 2006 he has been director of the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Hall.
