"Red Garden" feature film, directed by Mirbala Salimli, will be displayed at the 15th Dhaka International Film Festival, Trend Life reported.
"Red garden" refers to the difficult genre of drama which reminds people that love is our only salvation.
The film tells the story of a provincial teacher from blue blood, Abbas. А desperate desire of having his own son makes him so indifferent to orphan in his custody and even to deadlock situation of his beloved spouse Vafa. But everything changes, when he himself causes Vafa’s death. Now in the otherworld Abbas is craving to have back all the things that he couldn’t protect in this world…
Cast includes Magsud Mammadov, Gulzar Gurbanova, and Taleh Badiyev. A film was co-produced by AzerbaijanFilm Company and White Media, (Russia).
“Red Garden” had its world premiere on Eurasia International Film Festival and will have its European premiere this November at Mannheim-Heidelberg International Film Festival and also Cairo International Film Festival.
The Dhaka International Film Festival (DIFF) is a biennial film festival held since 1992. The festival was initially organized on annual basis, but became a biennial event since 1995.
One of the most prestigious film events in Bangladesh, DIFF is dedicated to introduce the mainstream global cinema to the local film makers, as well as to promote healthy cine culture within Bangladesh.
The festival was founded by the Rainbow Film Society, which has, as of 2012, organized 12 editions of the event bringing international recognition to it.
