Azerbaijani grandmaster Shahriyar Mammadyarov ranks 16th in the FIDE world rankings with 2,748 points.
Other Azerbaijani grandmasters Teymur Rajabov and Arkadij Naiditsch rank 28th and 45th respectively.
Norwegian Magnus Carlsen tops the rankings with 2834 points.
