Kazakhstan, Peugeot Citroën expand mutual cooperation

Kazakhstan and the PSA Peugeot CitroEn consider the possibilities to expand mutual cooperation.

This issue was discussed during an official visit of Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev to France at the meeting with Carlos Tavares,the chairman of PSA's managing board.

The sides discussed the expansion of cooperation between the Group and the Kazakh automakers, as well as the expansion of its presence in Kazakhstan.

Currently, the manufacturing of Peugeot automobiles carried out at industrial sites of the AgromashHolding JSC in Kostanai, Kazakhstan, which is is one of the largest companies in Kazakhstan producing and selling agricultural machinery and automobiles.

The company has the most extensive sales network with service branches and dealer centers on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

PSA Peugeot Citroen is the second largest carmaker in Europe. The Group sold over 2,9 million vehicles worldwide in 2014, of which 42 percent were sold outside Europe.

The number of automobiles built by the Group in France is 919,900 vehicles in 2013.

The Group thereby contributes 4.5 billion euros to France’s trade balance. It builds a full 85 percent of engines and gearboxes and 33 percent of its automobiles in France.
