Georgia, Estonia mull prospects for further co-op

Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili met his Estonian counterpart Toomas Hendrik Ilves in Tallinn on April 28.

The sides discussed the issues of bilateral relations and focused on the prospects for further cooperation, Margvelashvili's administration reported.

The meeting noted that Estonia was a stronger supporter of Georgia on its path towards the European and Euro-Atlantic integration and that the enhancement of cooperation with the country, which had already experienced this process was exceedingly important.

The significance of the acceleration of signing Association Agreement with the European Union by Georgia was also emphasized.

In the frames of the working visit to Tallinn,Margvelashvili also spoke at the international conference on cyber security in Tallinn and focused on the incident of including Georgia's breakaway region, Abkhazia into the list of independent states by Google Voice communication service systems.

Along with the violation of Georgia`s territorial integrity, the country's security was also endangered in digital sphere, he said.

"Now, when we search for Abkhazia in Google among the independent countries, this is a problem. This violates the thing that we call identity," Margvelashvili said.

During the visit, Margvelashvili also met other senior officials. The sides discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral economic and political relationship.
