Around 30 Kazakh citizens wanted for terrorism
Around 30 Kazakh people are wanted for terrorism, head of the
Criminal Investigation Department at the Criminal Police Committee
of the Kazakh Interior Ministry, Murat Shamgunov said on September
24.
"Around 2,300 criminals - Kazakh citizens are wanted, while 1,500
people are considered missing," he told media on the sidelines of
the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament. "Among them, around 200 people
are wanted for murder, 30 people for terrorism, and 134 for
robbery. Each of them is charged with certain articles of the
Criminal Code."
According to him, the agreement will give the opportunity to
participate in the search activity of all state law enforcement
agencies.
"We will be able to obtain information from all state bodies of not
only in Kazakhstan but also other CIS countries at the legislative
level," he stressed. "So, all state agencies will be involved in
the search activity at the legislative level. According to the
contract, there will be another document that will be signed at the
intergovernmental level. The procedure and deadline will be
discussed in details."
"According to the agreement, the competent bodies of the parties
are planned to cooperate in executing the requests and exchanging
information about wanted persons, search operations, as well as
other forms of regulation in the field," First Deputy Interior
Minister Marat Demeuov said.
