New Georgian deputy FM appointed

Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili signed on Monday a decree appointing Tamar Beruchashvili Deputy Foreign Minister.

Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze put forward Beruchashvili's candidacy about a month ago, but Saakashvili had not signed a decree on her appointment.

At various times, Tamar Beruchashvili was the Georgian Minister for European Integration, Deputy Foreign Minister, Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations, Deputy Minister for Trade and Foreign Economic Relations.

Beruchashvili also served as Adviser to State Minister for European Integration Giorgi Baramidze.
