Intensive consultations on EU-Georgia association agreement to begin in spring

Intensive consultations on the EU-Georgia association agreement will begin in spring.

This was stated at a meeting of First Deputy Foreign Minister David Zalkaniani with the head of EU Directorate for Eastern Europe, Central Asia and South Caucasus Gunnar Wiegand, Georgian Foreign Ministry told Trend news agency on Wednesday.

The meeting was attended by Deputy State Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Tamar Beruchashvili, Deputy Minister of Justice Gocha Lotkipanidze and Deputy Economy Minister Irakli Matkava.

The European Union was represented by head of the EU delegation to Georgia Philip Dimitrov and desk officers of EU external action service in Georgia.

The 12 round of negotiations on Association Agreement with EU is held in Tbilisi on Wednesday.
