Islam Karimov charity foundation established in Uzbekistan

The charity foundation named after Uzbek first President Islam Karimov has been established in Uzbekistan, Karimov’s youngest daughter Lola Karimova-Tillyaeva, said.
Karimova-Tillyaeva said that among the main objectives of the fund are to popularize the historical, cultural and literary heritage of Uzbekistan within the country and abroad and implement scientific-educational and cultural programs for training and developing young people's potential.
"According to the above-mentioned objectives, the fund will issue grants to the gifted young people to study at the best domestic and foreign universities,” she added.
She stressed that the fund will pay special attention to the development of the Uzbek language.
"I hope that the activity of the fund will help our citizens to implement their potential and support the rich cultural life of the country,” Karimova-Tillyaeva said.
