Azerbaijani Army conduct drills on frontline

Azerbaijani Armed Forces have started military exercises on the frontline in accordance with the combat readiness plan for 2014.
The military units and sections of the Azerbaijani Army launched the military drills from April 29, Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported.
More than 4,000 military personnel, over 60 armored vehicles, 120 units of the missile and artillery troops, aviation and air defense systems took part in the military exercises.
The practical part of the military drills has started from May 1. The combat readiness level of the military units was examined, special attention was given to more efficient and effective implementation of the tasks, preparation of operations by headquarters, interoperability and security organization.
In-mid April, the Azerbaijani armed forces staged the large-scale exercises in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, which is under the blockade for over 20 years due to the Armenian occupation of Azerbaijani territories.
