Chairman of Azerbaijani State Committee on Work with Diaspora meets professor at University of California
Chairman of Azerbaijan`s State Committee on Work with Diaspora Nazim Ibrahimov has met President of Family Foundation, professor at the University of California Sharon Nazarian, AzerTag state news agency reported.
Ibrahimov highlighted the activity of the Committee.
On cooperation between Azerbaijani and Jewish Diaspora organizations, the chairman stressed the importance of further development of these relations.
Sharon Nazarian said cooperation between Azerbaijani and Jewish Diaspora organizations would contribute to strengthening these relations even more.
The focus on education and public policy is core to Sharon`s philanthropic perspective. She currently teaches as an adjunct professor at the University of California Los Angeles in the Department of Political Science. She also is the founder of the Younes & Soraya Nazarian Center for Israel Studies at UCLA and Chair of its Advisory Board.
The Center is housed in the International Institute at UCLA in order to provide a systematic and academic study of Israel.
