First Argentine ambassador to take office in Baku soon
Argentina's first ambassador to Azerbaijan Carlos Dante Riva has arrived in Baku, AzerTac state news agency reported. The ambassador will take office after presenting his credentials to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
Riva is a lawyer and doctor of law and sociology at the National University of the Littoral of Argentina. He worked at the embassies of Argentina in Venezuela and Cuba, and represented his country in the UN.
The embassy of Argentina in Azerbaijan was established in 2012. The embassy is currently headed by Charge d'Affaires Alberto Jose Alonso.
