Senior Azerbaijani official holds discussions on South Caucasus Forum in Turkey
Chairman of the Azerbaijani State Committee for Work with Diaspora Nazim Ibrahimov, who is on a visit to Turkey, is holding discussions on the South Caucasus Forum to be held in Baku from May 6-8.
Ibrahimov met with Greek former Foreign Minister, MP Dora Bakoyannis during a meeting of the Marmara Group Strategic and Social Research Foundation, the State Committee told Trend news agency on Wednesday.
The main topic of the discussion was the South Caucasus Forum, organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center in cooperation with the Club of Madrid, with the support of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora.
Dora Bakoyannis stressed that this forum will act as a bridge between East and West and help the development of intercultural and inter-religious dialogue.
Bakoyannis has actively contributed to the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict during the chairmanship in the OSCE.
She will preside over the plenary session on the conflict during the South Caucasus forum.
It should be stressed that more than 30 former heads of state and governments and more than 200 distinguished scientists and experts will attend the forum.
