Iran presents protest note to Azerbaijan - reports
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Iran Javanshir Akhundov was summoned to the Iranian Foreign Ministry and a note of protest was handed over to him on Sunday, Iranian media reported on Monday.
The protest note was presented as a sign of protest against holding an event a few days ago in Baku, which was organized by the South Azerbaijan National Freedom Front and discussed the issue of South Azerbaijan.
At the meeting with Javanshir Akhundov, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi expressed Tehran's dissatisfaction that the Azerbaijani government did not prevent holding of this event, the media outlets reported.
