US ambassador visits Jews community in Quba
US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Richard Morningstar and his spouse Faith Pierce Morningstar have visited the carpet-weaving manufacture and the area where the Mountainous Jews live - Girmizi Settlement in Quba region of the country.
They viewed the ancient technology of the carpet-weaving, historical compositions and ways of attaining the natural colors.
Ambassador Morningstar and the embassy employees met the Mountainous Jews community members, and the residents of the district in the local school named after Isaak Khanukov.
The representatives of the Jewish community noted there is a good relationship between the members of all the religions in Azerbaijan. They said tolerance and mutual respect in Azerbaijan can be an example to all of the countries in the world.
Earlier in the frames of his Quba visit, the ambassador visited Quba Mass Graveyard where the Azerbaijani victims of genocide committed by Armenians are buried.
Morningstar will also have a number of meetings on Friday in Khachmaz during his visit to the northern regions of Azerbaijan.
