Romania receives third mandate as NATO Contact Point Embassy in Azerbaijan
Romanian Embassy will again perform the role of NATO Contact Point Embassy (CPE) in Azerbaijan, Trend news agency reported.
Romanian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Daniel Cristian Ciobanu said that the renewal of the NATO CPE mandate for Romania in Azerbaijan for the next two years represents recognition of the successful completion of the responsibilities assigned during the last mandate.
As CPE, Romanian Embassy intends to organize further conferences and seminars focused on promoting values and principles that NATO stands for.
The Embassy will continue cooperation with National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, Academy of Public Administration under the President of Azerbaijan, Center for Strategic Studies under the President of Azerbaijan, other NGOs and media.
Ciobanu welcomed Azerbaijan's cooperation with NATO and the country's active role in the fight against terrorism.
